Harewood Counselling Practice

It is not always easy to work through difficulties on your own, having someone to talk things through with can make a difference. I can help you to understand what is happening and to work out how you’d like to respond to challenges you are facing. Counselling helps us to pause and reflect, to see more clearly and find a way forward. It’s also a place to delve deeply into how we are and the patterns that are repeating in our lives. I offer a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.

I run a busy private practice, where adults of all ages are welcome, as well as young people aged 14 and over. For over twenty years, I have supported people suffering with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, who are self-harming or thinking about suicide, have complex developmental trauma, post traumatic stress, have experienced childhood abuse and neglect, or who are grieving or experiencing complex grief. I have significant experience in working with clients experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, stress and anxiety. I can help by fostering present-time embodied awareness, self-compassion and finding safety in the nervous system to downregulate the threat system.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, am trained as a Clinical and Complex Trauma Professional and a mindfulness teacher. I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I am committed to creating a truly inclusive space at Harewood Counselling Practice. I welcome people from all social identities, including all ethnicities, classes, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, abilities and cultures.
